I'm guessing you might be energized by the new possibilities opening up in this year's elections but like many people, you might be unsure of how to have the most impact. I have been supporting a unique political initiative—Walk the Walk USA—working for Democratic wins in November 2024, and I want to share it with you because it is so effective and so meaningful for me.
Walk the Walk is an all-volunteer, research-based movement whose strategy is beautiful in its simplicity and common sense: fund grassroots organizations engaging voters in critical swing state races, where our support impacts races up and down the ballot. WtW identifies and vets effective local organizations who have a proven track record of turning out voters in historically marginalized communities where these races are taking place. Our partner organizations are run by people from the communities they serve, and they work year-round, using relational organizing to engage and mobilize people who don’t usually vote and are likely to vote Democratic.
Walk the Walk is run entirely by volunteers and has no overhead, so every dollar raised goes to its effective grassroots partners. Since 2020, Walk the Walk has raised nearly $10 million dollars from over 9,000 contributors across all 50 states.

We will be watching one of Walk the Walk's monthly Zoom meetings where we can hear directly from leaders of the organizations Walk the Walk supports. These meetings are really wonderful – they give me hope, joy even, to see people working so effectively at the grassroots level and to listen to them talk about their programs.
The relational organizing work that Walk the Walk supports has proven to be the single most effective way to engage voters and impact elections, but it can’t happen at the last minute. Every dollar today yields more votes than a dollar closer to Election Day. Our partners need our support now so they can staff up, scale up, and build up their communities now.
