Want to do more?  Maybe host a party?

People are asking if there are ways they can help in addition to donating.  YES. Through the power of your own relational organizing.  WtW started with one friend who said, “hey this is interesting.”  And another and another.  That’s the power of relational organizing.  You can do it.  Right now.  You have the power.

From time to time, Walkers host Live Parties.   If you’d like to host an event in your area, please let us know.  We’ll see how many WtW friends are in your zip code region and go from there.  You book a local meeting place and invite your own friends.   We invite donors from our database to gather and bring their friends.  Sometimes we serve cookies.  And our red, white and blue crepe paper decorations add a celebratory vibe.

Some of us have hosted WtW Watch Parties at our homes.  We’ve invited a few friends – provided snacks and watched the zoom together.  That’s it.   We cheer, give each other “high fives” and it’s fun.

After a watch party in Santa Rosa, California, guests invited themselves back to the next watch party. And they called their friends and relatives in other states.

In upstate New York, two WtW volunteers (we are all volunteers) have hosted dinner parties.  They prepared the food and their guests donated to WtW through ActBlue.  Donation receipts were the ticket to the event.  The WtW Outreach Committee sent invitations to people in nearby zip codes and provided information to distribute.
